Tottenham had reached an initial agreement with Easy to join the team during the current transfer period, before things turned upside down with Arsenal’s entry into the negotiation line and settling the deal quickly.

Arsenal’s move came after its German player Kay Havirt was injured, so that the club decided to contract with Easy to compensate for his absence, in a deal that made a severe blow to Tottenham’s aspirations in the market.
