The move comes in light of the possibility of both attackers losing their basic positions during the current season, as journalist Gianluka de Marzio indicated that the Milan administration was the one who initiated the idea of the deal on Rome in order to study the possibility of moving forward in the negotiations.
It was not yet clear whether the two clubs, or the two players themselves, are ready to agree to this deal, especially since a similar experience took place between the two parties a year ago when they exchanged loaning Tami Abraham and Alexis Sailmear, before the latter returned to Milan this summer while Abraham moved to the Turkish Besiktas.
It is noteworthy that Milan announced earlier today that he reached an agreement with Chelsea regarding the contract with French striker Christopher Nicoko, but the club management is still looking for more offensive support before the transfer market is closed.
