According to a published report Catalan Journal of Mundo Deportivo Liverpool rejected Konati’s request to increase the value of his salary to sign a new contract.

The report indicates that Konati is currently receiving a weekly salary of 81,000 euros, and he asked to increase the value to 230,000 euros, but the Liverpool administration rejected this request, which opens the door for Real Madrid.

The report indicates that Liverpool will put the name of Konati in the list of candidates to leave in the event that his contract is not renewed, and the administration has set a price of 40.5 million euros to accept its sale.

The newspaper stressed that this value is very far from the financial value allocated by the Real Madrid administration to complete the purchase this summer, if it had allocated an amount of only 25 million euros.

It should be noted that Konati will be a free player next summer in the event that the contract with Liverpool is not renewed, then Real Madrid will be the luckiest to get his signature for free.
